- The League of American Bicyclists has recognized CU Boulder with the Gold Bicycle Friendly University award, placing CU in a cutting-edge group of colleges and universities across the U.S. transforming their campuses and the communities around them.
- Want to go abroad, but struggling to finish an application? Don’t panic! Education Abroad is extending deadlines for several programs, so there’s still time to plan for the experience of a lifetime! New deadlines extend through March 13.
- As the Baseline Road Underpass Project nears completion, three overnight closures of Baseline Road and other temporary travel impacts have been planned for March 9 through 12 and March 17 through 19. Commuters should allow for extra travel time and may wish to consider alternate routes.
- All CU Boulder faculty are invited to submit applications for Implementation of Multicultural Perspectives and Approaches in Research and Teaching (IMPART) fellowship awards. Grants of up to $4,000 are available.
- The Boulder Faculty Assembly (BFA) Election Committee is now accepting nominations for BFA membership and for membership on the BFA's subcommittees. Submit nominations by Friday, March 10.
- Now is your chance to be part of the greatest tradition in all of college sports. The Ralphie Live Mascot Program is currently accepting applications for Ralphie Handlers through Monday, March 6.
- Action required: All faculty and staff who want to receive emergency text message alerts, even those who have opted in previously, must log in to MyCUinfo to update their contact information. The spring test for CU Boulder Alerts will be held at noon on March 22.
- Sunday, March 5, is the last day to waive CU Student Government fees. Petitions may be picked up and turned in to the CUSG office at the University Memorial Center, room 125.
- Architectural engineering graduate student Jay Arehart has been awarded Bridge Builder of the Year by Bridges to Prosperity (B2P). Arehart, who was chosen from students across the nation, has led CU's B2P chapter on three footbridge builds in Bolivia.
- Ken Koch has been named chief of police for the CU Boulder Police Department. Koch, who has served as deputy chief for the past two years, will serve as chief effective immediately.
