Get Involved in Sustainability at CU Boulder

Staff make sustainability happen every day

As a staff member at CU Boulder there are countless ways to get involved in sustainability efforts across campus and to help lead the charge and walk the talk when it comes to our campus-wide efforts to prioritize sustainability.

Staff play a significant role in moving sustainability efforts forward across research, curriculum, campus operations and community partnerships. From those who work in Facilities Management and Infrastructure and Resilience, to staff members who keep our research labs and centers in operation, and those who ensure that students find courses and degree programs that meet their interests and needs, CU Boulder staff are critical to maintaining and growing our campus-wide sustainability momentum.

Join the Sustainability Council

The CU Boulder Sustainability Council is a cross-campus group of students, faculty, and staff that advises the Chancellor and campus leadership on sustainability priorities. The Council supports coordination across the university, reviews proposals, and elevates ideas that advance meaningful sustainability outcomes. The Council serves as a bridge between the campus community and leadership, helping turn input into action.

Members

The Sustainability Council has nine appointed voting members: three students, three faculty, and three staff.  Members are chosen for their commitment to sustainability, willingness to actively contribute ideas, ability to collaborate across campus, and experience or interest in sustainability work. Together, Council members bring diverse perspectives from across campus and help guide sustainability decisions that impact the CU Boulder community.

Help Shape Sustainability

CU Boulder’s Sustainability Council invites students, staff, and faculty to share ideas and proposals that support and drive a more sustainable campus.
