LJ Byrd is a third-year biochemistry student aspiring to genetically modify plants to be more drought-tolerant and is the 23-24 social media coordinator for oSTEM. LJ hopes to provide a space for LGBTQ+ students to discuss their interests and passions without fear of discrimination or judgement against their identites. When not hunched over a laptop obsessing over the Portal series, LJ can be found hunched over a separate laptop geeking out over new developments in genetic engineering.
