Yang is a visiting professor in the Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences Department. His research interests include developing GNSS receiver carrier tracking algorithms, using spaceborne GNSS measurements for the Earth’s atmosphere and surface sensing, and machine learning for the ionosphere and space weather monitoring and forecasting. Yang obtained his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, M.E. in electrical and electronics engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and B.E. in electronic and information engineering from Beihang University, China.
