Dr. Bhagyashree Waghule is a space weather scientist specializing in the analysis of coupled magnetosphere–ionosphere dynamics and their impacts on technological systems. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2026. As a part of her dissertation, she developed novel approaches that combine wavelet analysis, multi-instrument data fusion, and model validation to identify drivers of localized space weather disturbances. She brings her multi-platform data analysis expertise, along with her engineering background, to the SWORD team to incorporate observations from meteor radars into a data assimilation framework called JEDI.


Research Interests: space weather forecast verification and validation, technological resilience against space weather, supporting future human exploration of the Moon and Mars.
