Biography
Thoa Khuu is a quantitative sociologist who uses demographic and social network methods to study immigrant integration and intergroup dynamics. Her current work focuses on how shifting population patterns in the United States shape the education, health, and social networks of second-generation children. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Population Research and Policy Review, International Migration Review, Social Networks, and Socius. Thoa earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and she is currently a recipient of an NIH K99/R00 Career Development Grant.
