Selena Muñoz-Jones is a first generation doctoral student in the department of Sociology at CU Boulder. She is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from California State University Sacramento (CSUS) with a B.A. in Sociology. As an undergraduate, her research focused on media and perceived fear of crime, including its impact on voting habits and sentencing laws. Her research interests broadly include population health, health disparities, criminology, and deviance.
