Bio:

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Department of Sociology. In my research, I utilize intersectional, feminist frameworks to problematize taken-for-granted concepts such as “consent” and “health” to explore how they are culturally situated, interactionally produced, and used to perpetuate inequalities. I have published research in the Journal of Sex Research, Social Science and Medicine, and Sociological Perspectives. I have taught my own courses and assisted in courses over 14 semesters at the CU Boulder. I was awarded the GPTI Teaching Recognition Award through CU Boulder in 2023, and the student-nominated Marinus Smith Teaching Award in 2019.
