Dennis Mileti

Dennis Mileti earned his Master's from California State University in Los Angeles and his Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studied under founder of the Natural Hazards Center, Gilbert White. He received his Ph.D. in 1975 and then returned to CU in 1994 to become the director of the Natural Hazards Center and a Professor of Sociology. His tenure ended in 2003. He passed away January 30, 2021 from complications with COVID-19.
