Resources for the study of Mesoamerican cities

Tenochtitlan

The Social Reactors Project team archives most of the data analyzed in project publications with The Digital Archaeological Record, a digital data repository housed at Arizona State University. Recently, we posted two datasets dealing with Mesoamerican cities, compiled by Michael Smith and his students: plaza areas and population estimates for Postclassic-period settlements across Mesoamerica and Classic-period settlements in Veracruz and Chiapas; and settled areas, epicenter areas, and population estimates for Postclassic settlements throughout Mesoamerica. We have also previously posted settlement pattern survey data from Central Mexico that includes settled areas, population estimates, house areas, and public architectural volumes for sites dating from the Formative through the Postclassic Period. Together, these resources make the Social Reactors Project archive a great resource for further study of Prehispanic Mesoamerican urbanism. You can check out a full list of available resources here
