The year marks the first of our planned annual excursions to explore the great floristic diversity of Colorado. This time, we went to Rainbow Lakes, which is about an hour's drive from Boulder. The beautiful lakes sit at around 10,000 feet and are reached from a short hike through montane forests and glades.
