Andrea spent three weeks in Brenda Winkel's lab at Virginia Tech profiling the vast flavonoid metabolome in Iochroma. She worked closely with researcher Sherry Hildreth and Brenda's collaborator Rich Helm, and together (with some very fancy mass specs) found over 300 unique compounds! This research exchange was funded by the NSF-funded Evo-Devo-Eco Network (EDEN). And of course, Stacey's hokie heart swelled with pride at this Virginia Tech connection.
