Weather Works (Grades 2-8)

Unravels the mysteries of meteorology through visual representations and hands-on experiments. Fundamental atmospheric conditions that create what we call “weather” are be explored. Students learn about temperature, air pressure, the water cycle, and clouds. The program concludes with an “electrifying” demonstration of the properties of static electricity, which produces a current much like lightning.

Supports CDE Academic Standards for Earth Systems Science.


Group size: Up to 30 students
Grades: 2-8
Cost:

  • $180 set-up fee
  • 1 to 3 sessions on the same day: $115 per session. A fourth or fifth session in the same day is $150 per session
  • $30 layover fee per hour when any two programs more than one hour apart. 
  • Travel fees are generally waived for nearby schools. Additional travel fees may be incurred on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Discounts available based on financial need and availability of funds.
