Community & Events
From individual researchers and laboratories to departments, institutes, and organizations, modern science and engineering are team efforts. Communities large and small coordinate to expand our understanding of the world and apply that new understanding to inform, involve and advise colleagues and the public, and help develop novel products and services for the economy.

Summer Schools
- Summer 2022 — CQuIC summer course on “tensor network methods”: A ten-week hybrid seminar course (starting June 1) covering tensor network methods, including matrix product states. In-person at UNM, with Zoom participation available. Instructor: Dr. Philip Blocher (blocher@unm.edu). More info at the course website.
- Summer 2021 — Quantum Undergraduate Research Experience at CHTM (QU-REACH): A ten-week summer research program for historically excluded groups in STEM, hosted at UNM. Projects included NV centers in diamond (Prof. Victor Acosta) and optical interferometry for simulated gravitational waves (Prof. F. Elohim Becerra).
- Summer 2021 — Quantum Computing Summer School: A 10-week immersive program led by Los Alamos National Lab with UNM Q-SEnSE faculty (Profs. Tameem Albash, Milad Marvian). Included tutorials by world experts and mentored student-led projects in quantum computing.
- Summer 2021 — Q-SEnSE–CQuIC Summer Fellows: Beginning graduate students trained in QIS through research rotations and a summer seminar course on “Many-body Quantum Chaos” (Instructor: Dr. Pablo Poggi).
