Effective August 7, 2023, Colorado institutions of higher education are no longer required to prevent eligible students from enrolling in classes based on selective service registration status (Colorado House Bill 23-1261).
What's Staying the Same?
It’s our responsibility to inform eligible students (males ages 18–25) that they need to register with the U.S. selective service system prior to course registration.
What's Changing?
- Eligible students will no longer need to complete the selective verification form after registering with the U.S. selective service system
- The selective service registration hold will no longer be applied to students' records
