Dr. Ackerman is a leading scholar in the areas of civic life, rhetoric in everyday, and collective memory studies. For the PWR he provides administrative leadership across program initiatives, including personnel (recruitment, retention, and reappointment), budgets, curriculum and campus and community planning. He develops programs and curricula devoted to sustainability and resiliency.
