Elia Newsom is a Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. His chapbook of poetry, The Prophet’s Toothbrush, was recently published by Finishing Line Press and he is a frequent contributor to Cosmonaut, a Marxist magazine for revolutionary strategy, historical analyses and modern critiques. He serves as the Organizing Committee Co-Chair at CU Boulder for United Campus Workers Colorado (CWA Local 7799) and is currently working on a monograph on the intersections of radical pedagogy, activism, and labor justice. However, he is most proud of his experiences teaching and working with students in jails, high schools, retirement homes, libraries, and colleges throughout the United States.
