Integrity, Safety and Compliance - COVID-19 - Remote work reminder, counties extend stay-at-home orders

Dear Faculty and Staff,

While the governor’s stay-at-home order for Colorado expires at the end of today, some counties are extending their stay-at-home orders or implementing other measures into May. The state is also encouraging safer-at-home practices

Remote work continues for CU Boulder

As a reminder, our campus is continuing with remote work until further notice. Critical services employees will continue with their work schedules in consultation with their supervisors.

It’s important that we continue to minimize the number of people coming to campus and research facilities, and that we take actions to prevent opportunities for infection. Returning to campus early puts you and the community at risk.

Updates on local orders

Variance exists across counties. Check your county government’s website for the latest information. Here are links to information about local orders that have been extended:

Planning for returning to campus

CU Boulder is developing a phased approach for employees to return to work on campus. The plan is being worked on and will be shared as soon as possible. A phased return is critical to ensuring the campus has the resources and protocols in place to protect the community.

Protocols are being developed for units to follow once employees begin to return to campus to address safety, health and wellness precautions in alignment with guidance from the CDC and local public health officials. Our planning will consider modifications to work schedules, changes in work environments and other measures to keep our community safe. Until the campus provides guidance in the coming weeks, departments should not develop individual safety, health and wellness protocols in preparation for employees returning to on-campus work.

We want our return to work on campus to be safely and thoughtfully coordinated across the campus, which will take time. Please continue to visit the CU Boulder coronavirus webpage for the latest information on campus operations. A new weekly digest of campus news related to COVID-19 is also available, and you can subscribe here.

Thank you,
