Bike to Work Day

Give your vehicle a mini-vacation and grab your bike to celebrate Bike to Work Day on June 26! We highly encourage you to ride your bike or look into Lime scooters and BCycle as alternatives to driving for the day. Pledge to ride and take a look at the stations on your bike trail to join us for breakfast. Visit our station at the CU REC Center for a chance to create your own smoothie with one of our blender bikes!

Buses

Headed to the airport?

You can now catch the AB bus on Broadway in front of the Moxy Hotel (just south of University Ave). On your way back, hop across the street to the stop on Pleasant. (Hint, this is a great addition for Thanksgiving and Spring breaks when the Euclid stop is packed. Get on early to ensure a seat!). Take a look at the AB schedules.

New shuttle service to Chautauqua Park

Starting May 25, the City of Boulder began service for a free Park-to-Park shuttle service to and from Chautauqua Park during summer weekends and holidays until September 2. This year, it will travel a new route along Broadway to expand access to locations on University Hill.

Connect Boulder Luncheon

Get an inside look at the City of Boulder’s new Modal Shift Report and Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) carbon-free transportation research at the Connect Boulder Luncheon on June 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Register to connect with Boulder leaders over a free lunch while also getting the latest updates on new transportation bills and RTD transit funding.

Report a pothole

To request pothole repairs, click the "Make a Request For: Potholes" button on the form link. Your request will be sent to city transportation staff, who will send a crew to repair the pothole.

Boulder County Cycling Advocacy Summit

C4C and Community Cycles are planning a Boulder County Cycling Advocacy Summit on August 19 and would like to hear the community’s thoughts on cycling in Boulder County. Submit your feedback, and mark your calendars to learn more about the services C4C and Community Cycles provide.

eBike safety and maintenance workshops

From June to September, Pedego and Community Cycles are offering free workshops to new and prospective eBike owners to talk about eBike functions, regulations, safety, maintenance and riding practices. Attendees are encouraged to bring their eBikes, but owning an eBike is not required.

Workshops are held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on June 12, June 14, June 20 and June 29 at 2512 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80304. Registration is highly recommended due to the limited space.

Equity and Inclusion

Language additions to the RTD website and NextRide app

RTD is introducing additional languages to its website and Next Ride app to improve accessibility to limited English-speaking individuals in the agency's district. Vietnamese arrived on Next Ride in April, and Russian was made available on the RTD website in May.

Stat of the month: Night Ride trip data

Between March 1, 2023 and April 25, 2024, CU Boulder electric vehicles made 17,608 trips, moving more than 22,300 passengers.

Between August 1, 2023 and March 26, 2024, the Night Ride program reduced its gas consumption by about 1,748 gallons. This estimation was found using the miles driven and MPGE (miles per gal equivalent) for the 2023 Chevrolet Bolts. Since the Bolts began operating on March 23, they have driven a combined total of 58,463 miles, as of the end of April 2024.

Did you know?

At Broadway and Table Mesa in Boulder, drivers can’t turn right if the red arrow light is on. If you just see the round red light, go ahead and turn right!

These lights are also located at Broadway and Arapahoe Avenue, Broadway and University Avenue, 30th Street and Valmont Street, Arapahoe Avenue and Folsom Street, and Canyon Boulevard and Folsom Street. Denver7 has provided more information.
