UMC Bike Station New Location

The UMC Bike Station has moved to the north side of the CASE building. As part of this move, we will be adding charging stations and exclusive parking for personally owned electric bicycles and scooters. The bike station will provide the same services as before. Additionally, mechanics will now be able to perform basic repairs for other personal mobility devices such as scooters, skateboards, and onewheels. Come visit us at our new location for a repair or just to hang out!

Summer Bike Storage 2023

Are you leaving Boulder for the summer, but can't take your bike? The CU Bike Program will store it in a secure, covered location for the entire summer for only $20! Bikes left locked to outdoor racks are often stolen and abandoned bikes are subject to impound, so take advantage of the summer storage option. Dates are still being finalized, so make sure to check back.

Voting on the names for CU Boulder’s two new electric Buff Buses will run from February 8-10. Get involved and help name the newest additions to our transportation fleet!

Winter Bike To Work Day 2023

Brave the elements, ride your bike to work on Friday, February 10th! Several breakfast stations will be located around town and the CU Bike Program will be hosting one with baked goods, coffee and hot chocolate at the UMC Bike Station. The UMC breakfast station will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. Find more breakfast station locations and details on the Community Cycles website.

RTD Allowing E-Bikes

On November 15 of this year, customers were allowed to travel with their e-bikes while using RTD services. Customers may load their e-bikes onto bus-mounted front bicycle racks, so long as the bikes weigh 55 pounds or less, with tires up to 2.3 inches in width.

New Electric Buff Buses

CU Boulder’s first two battery electric Buff Buses will hit the streets this week, thanks in part to a pair of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grants. The long-awaited buses are the first two of four to join the Buff Bus fleet, which currently comprises 26 diesel vehicles. Exciting times!

Employee Input Needed! Faculty/Staff Transportation Survey 2022

Help us discover how COVID changed our commute patterns by taking the 2022 Employee Transportation Survey. Data from the survey will be compared to past surveys and supports efforts to accommodate all travel modes, and informs strategic planning for transportation-related programs. Casual Group Rides With Rapha

30th St. and Colorado Ave. Construction Closure!

Except for the Buff Bus, the intersection of 30th and Colorado Ave. will be fully closed to pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic from Saturday, Sept. 10 to Friday, Sept. 23. The intersection will be elevated to allow for the completion of two bike and pedestrian underpasses, designed to enhance bike and pedestrian safety. The Buff Bus will run from 7am until 5pm and then will be rerouted.
