Do you have unpaid parking citations issued before January 1st, 2019? Are you looking for an easy way to pay them off and help the community at the same time? January 28th through February 1st (from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), through collaboration with Harvest of Hope Pantry, CU Boulder Parking Services invites you to pay off your unpaid CU Boulder parking fines with canned food instead of cash!
Bring in a minimum of five (5) non-perishable food items to have one current unpaid citation waived. If you have more than one outstanding citation, issued prior to January 1st, 2019, donate more! Citations must have an issuance date prior to January 1, 2019. Donations will not be valid on citations in collections, on student tuition and fee bill, relocated/booted vehicles, ADA or fire lane/undesignated space violations or any single amount due over $50. Donations will be accepted even if you do not have citations.
Harvest of Hope Pantry provides healthy supplemental food to Boulder families and individuals in need of food assistance. The pantry is similar to a neighborhood food market, except their food is free to their “shoppers.” Anyone with a valid I.D. and proof of Boulder residency can shop at the Pantry!
Items most needed by the Pantry are peanut butter, canned chicken/tuna, cereals (whole grain preferred), chili with beans, canned beans, carrots, corn, peas, fruit and chunky style soups and regular or travel sized hygiene products. Other items will still be accepted. Food items will not be accepted if they are damaged, opened, missing a label or expired. Sorry...glass jars/containers cannot be accepted.
For those making donations, parking will be available in lot 440 (south of Parking Services) at no charge from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on donation dates. Parking will be limited to 15 minutes. The donation table, where your food items will be received, will be at the west entrance of the Parking Services' lobby. (Please have your photo ID and license plate number ready to quickly access your account.)
