Nancy Mejia-Arias was originally born in Los Angeles, California, but raised in Denver, Colorado. She is a daughter of Salvadorian parents and the first in her family to graduate from college. Nancy enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, friends and early mornings at the gym.
Nancy has a BA in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Ethnic studies from Colorado State University. She is currently pursuing her MA in Educational Foundations, Policy, and Practice at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Nancy is the proud product of the Pre-College Development Program of Boulder. She attended the program in her high school years, and later returned as a program coordinator to the Rural Pre-College Outreach office. Her passion for education stemmed from her own education journey and knowing that programs such as PCDP helped her and her family along the way.
