
Christopher Pacheco is the Executive Director of the Office of Pre-College Outreach and Engagement. He is a first-generation college student from a family of ten children. He graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 1982, received his B.A. from CU Boulder in 1987 in Environmental Biology and went on to complete a Masters Degree in Education Policy. His professional career has been dedicated to providing access to higher education for first-generation students and students from communities who are underrepresented in higher education. He began his career as the director of the Pre-Collegiate Development Program at the University of Colorado Boulder campus from 1987 until 1999. He served as Associate Director for Academic Enrichment Programs in CU Boulder’s Student Academic Services Center from 1999 until 2008. As the executive director he supervises numerous pre-college outreach programs in the Denver-metro area and is collaborating with school districts to provide comprehensive college preparatory skills in rural communities across Colorado.
