Precollege Outreach and Engagement

Amy Molina currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Pre-Collegiate Development Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. In this position, she directs the high school pipeline program which is geared towards engaging first generation students and families in initiatives that facilitate a successful transition from middle school to high school to college.

As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, Amy fully understands what it is like to have to navigate the college journey as a first-generation Latina student.  She uses her personal experiences to relate to students and families. Her passion is to create greater access to higher education by getting students excited about their future and providing parents and guardians with the support needed to show them that it can be done! She also finds enjoyment in mentoring first generation students as they transition to become first generation professionals.

Amy’s educational background includes a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Chicano Studies from the University of Wyoming and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policies studies with a concentration in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Iowa State University.
