College Day allows students to connect with their academic advisors, deans and essential academic support staff while obtaining critical knowledge and resources about academic expectations and success at CU Boulder.
This will be a time for you to learn more about academics at CU Boulder, connect with academic advisors and to meet your fellow A&S Buffs. This is a required event for all College of Arts & Sciences students. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle.
Arrive at 8:45am to check in. CMCI College Day begins at 9 a.m. in the Byron White Room (Folsom Stadium). This will be the kick-off to your college career where you’ll learn about the first year student curriculum, develop a sense of your future as a student in CMCI and connect with faculty, staff and other incoming students in the college. This event is required for all incoming, first-year CMCI students. Lunch is provided.
This event is required for all incoming, first-year School of Education students. Welcome Day gives you an opportunity to connect with students, faculty and staff. We will start in the Education building by discussing what it means to be a School of Education student, and then break out into smaller groups with your faculty advisor. We will end the day with a Welcome Picnic in the courtyard where you can relax and get to know your peers, faculty and staff with free food, beverages, yard games and more.
Engineering Launch is required for all new first-year students in Engineering & Pre-Engineering. This event provides essential information you need to get started in the college, including meeting your advisor and other students in your major! You may check in for Engineering Launch early; stop by the Engineering Center during the specific early check-in times listed on our website.
This event provides you the opportunity to meet other students in the program and to learn about what it means to be an environmental designer. During this two day required event, you’ll experience a variety of experiences from our director’s welcome to a design competition, and community engagement events with our student leaders. There’s even a session dedicated to parents. Plus, lunch will be provided on both days!
Day one is Leeds Launch Day on Friday, August 23 to orient you and your families to Leeds. Day two is CoLabon Saturday, August 24. CoLab is a day of fun collaboration and teamwork activities designed for you to get to know your peers. These mandatory Fall Welcome days are important for your foundation of success at Leeds and in your future careers.
College of Music Welcome Week events take place beginning on Wednesday, August 21. All new incoming undergraduate music majors are required to complete the Music Theory Placement Exam, attend the College of Music Information Session, and, if needed, complete the Keyboard Placement Interview. Pre-Business College Days
Aug. 21 & Aug. 23 | 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Williams Village, Village Center & Multipurpose Rooms
Students will be provided critical academic advising, social engagement and team-building activities and a comprehensive overview of the Williams Village facilities. This program is only open to students who have been admitted into the Pre-Business Program.
This event provides a chance for you to meet other students and gain a sense of what it means to be part of the Program in Exploratory Studies. You will learn about academic advising, major and career exploration and navigating campus. This event is required because it provides an opportunity for you to connect with students, faculty and staff who will be important to your CU Boulder experience.
