Looking ahead

Taste of Home

Fall is officially here!
As we move into fall, students are beginning to look ahead to the rest of the semester. Whether they are thinking about tests, working through roommate issues, or just waiting for fall break to come around, students are anxious to get the rest of the semester into motion!

Check out some tips to help your student stay focused and plan ahead.

Taste of Home

After eating at the dining halls on campus for a few weeks, students can begin to miss home cooked meals! Fortunately, Housing & Dining Services has come up with a plan to help remedy this homesickness. Dining will be accepting submissions of recipes, and will choose four recipes to be featured in dining halls on campus! Submit your recipes

Roommate Conflicts

One of the biggest transitions in college is learning how to share a small space with another person- someone your student may have only just met at the beginning of the semester! It's natural for roommates to run into conflicts or frustrations, so CU has provided a variety of resources to help them work through these issues! Get some tips

Homesickness

At this point in the semester, many students may begin to experience homesickness, whether they are from out of state or just down the road. In addition to listening and providing support, encouraging your student to get involved on campus can be a great way to combat their yearning for home and comfort. Find out how to get involved

Fall Closing

Students and families are already anxiously making plans for fall and winter break to get away from the stresses of college life. It is tempting for students to just pick up and leave when they're excited to visit home, but before they take off there are some important things to remember regarding residence safety and travel preparation. Reminders for vacation travel

Registering for Spring Classes
Although the fall semester is still underway, students will soon begin planning and registering for their spring semester classes!

Spring class offerings are now available on MyCUInfo. At this point, students can begin looking at which classes they want to take in their next semester and at what time those classes are available. Students will also be able to view their assigned registration window at this time.

It is recommended that students meet with their advisor before spring registration in order to ensure that they are taking classes that will keep them on track for earning their degree. Registration appointments will begin on October 31 and will remain open through January 12.

If you or your student have any other questions, check out the Registrar's website.
