Field courses at the Mountain Research Station are very popular and have low enrollments to maximize student/instructor interaction.  A waiting list will be generated if the course fills and students will be placed based on the date of their waiting list reservation if a cancellation occurs.  If the course is full you will be informed to contact enrollment services during the on-line registration process to be added to the waiting list.

RESERVING YOUR SPOT IN CLASS AND REGISTERING.

STEP 1: Reserve your space in the course by using the links below.  A $300 deposit (on-line credit card payment or mail a paper check) is required to reserve your space.  You will receive e-mail confirmation that your spot in class is secured.  Course reservations are not secured until a deposit is received.

STEP 2: The Mountain Research Station will send students with reserved spots special instructions on registering for the course using your MyCUInfo Portal. Registration instructions will be sent to students 4 weeks prior to the course start date. (Both CU and non-CU students will go through this process).  Once registered, the balance of the course tuition will be added to your CU Bill&Pay account with the Bursar.  (For example, summer course tuition is $2300.  Pay $300 to reserve your space, when you register the balance of $2300 - $300 = $2000 will post to your CU account).

The Office of Continuing Education manages registration and course credit.  Credits are the same as other courses from the University of Colorado and tuition is the same for Colorado residents and non-residents. Course credit is readily transferable to other institutions and meets the field course requirements for CU's Environmental Studies program.

IF YOU ARE USING FINANCIAL AID or GI BILL:  No deposit is required.  Select the Financial Aid/GI Bill option when making your reservation.  Typically, your aid will post automatically to your CU account to cover your class balance.  For more info go to https://www.colorado.edu/bursar/billing
