Special Notice - Spring 2021 Graduation Ceremony Announcement

Congratulations on your graduation!

As you know, "in-person" graduations have been cancelled for the 2021 Spring Graduation. This is a terrible but necessary response to the pandemic that will undoubtedly save lives. In lieu of a graduation ceremony, MCDB will offer a video version of graduation that will be posted on the MCDB Departmental Website on May 6 at 10:00 AM. The video will remain available for viewing and download until the end of the year. It will include comments from the MCDB Chair Lee Niswander and from some of your fellow students. The video will show a presentation of each MCDB graduating student's degree, awards, certificates, and minors while displaying a picture or small video of each student.

Please provide us with the pronunciation of your name (reply to this message). Also, please upload either a preferred graduation picture of yourself or a short video (approximately 5 sec TikTok-style) to:

Deadline: Thursday, April 29.

We will also be acknowledging graduates from the Winter 2020 graduation ceremony and anyone that has registered to graduate this summer. For the Winter graduates, we will use the same information as in the Winter graduation (degree, picture/video, etc), unless you provide us with new material.

This is no substitute for an actual graduation ceremony but we hope it demonstrates how proud we are of each of you and provides you with a permanent record of your accomplishments. Thank you for your contributions to MCDB over the past years and we wish you all the best as you continue to make your mark upon the world.
