University Housing will continue to provide building assignments to those who completed their housing application by the priority deadline throughout the summer.
We know many of you are eager to receive a building assignment. We are working as quickly as we can to provide building assignments as space becomes available.
Continue to check your CU Boulder email. Your building assignment will be shared to your CU Boulder email account.

Why wasn’t I given my building assignment on June 1?
University Housing received a large number of housing applications right before the priority deadline closed. While most students received a building assignment on June 1, we were not able to provide assignments to everyone who completed an application by the priority deadline. We are working as quickly as possible to provide building assignments as space becomes available.
When can I expect to receive my building assignment?
University Housing will be sending building assignments throughout the summer as space becomes available. Be sure to continue to check your CU Boulder email address throughout the summer.
Will I still be able to participate in roommate selection or the assignment change request process?
You cannot participate in roommate selection or the assignment change request process if you do not have a building assignment. It is possible that you will receive a building assignment before the roommate selection or assignment change request processes close. If you do not have a building assignment before these processes close, you can join the room change waitlist on Aug. 30, 2023.
Do I have the option to live off campus?
Students are able to complete a housing release petition to request an exemption to the live on requirement.
I am no longer planning to attend CU Boulder, how do I cancel my housing application?
Email UniversityHousing@colorado.edu as soon as possible to officially cancel your housing application.
