Residence Hall and Bear Creek Positions

Resident Advisor

As a Resident Advisor, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive community among residents under the supervision of the hall director. There are many benefits of being an RA at CU Boulder! You can gain exceptional leadership skills, learn how to manage conflict, and make a difference in your community!

  • Requirements: 2.5 GPA, good conduct standing, full-time enrollment status (12 credits for undergraduate students)
  • Remuneration: RAs are provided with room and board and a stipend for the length of their employment

Community Assistant

As a community assistant (CA) you will work at the community centers (front desks) in the residence halls. You'll help with day-to-day issues like room lockouts and checking out equipment, but also participate in and encourage community-building in your hall while focusing on customer service.   • Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Community Center Lead

As a Community Center Lead (CCL) you will be responsible for the administrative operations and management of the community center (front desk) under the direction of the community center coordinator. Benefits of this position include gaining valuable leadership and supervision skills while working in a large team environment.

  • Payrate: $16.85 per hour

Senior Resident Advisor

Leadership: Senior Resident Advisors (SRAs) serve as a resource, positive role model, and peer mentor to new and returning RAs. SRAs assists new and returning RAs with confrontations, mediations, questions, and concerns under the direction of their hall director. It is important for SRAs to have a productive working relationship with their hall director and to be a positive influence on the RA team for Residence Life, and campus partner’s endeavors.

  • Requirements: 1 academic year completed as an RA, 2.5 GPA. Good conduct standing
  • Renumeration: SRAs are provided with room and board for the length of their employment. SRAs are provided a stipend of $3,600 for the extra 5 hours a week required of the role.

ASAP Positions

Tutor Mentor

ASAP provides free small group tutoring to first-year students and any student living on campus. The Tutor-Mentor position is a great opportunity for those wanting more experience in teaching, mentoring, and learning course content in a deeper way.

Tutor Coordinators (Assessment, Hiring and Training, Marketing and Events, Hiring, Onboarding, and Drop-in Tutoring)

ASAP provides free small group tutoring to first-year students and any student living on campus. The Tutor Coordinator position is a great opportunity for those wanting more experience in leadership, administrative development, and project management.

Head Tutors

ASAP provides free small group tutoring to first-year students and any student living on campus. Head Tutor Mentors provide support and act as a liaison for the ASAP team and Tutor Mentors. HTMs shadow Tutor Mentor sessions to provide feedback and guidance.

  • Payrate: $ 16.00 per hour

Graduate and Family Housing Positions

Student Assistant I. Admin position

Customer service duties including: Answering phones; answering questions at the counter; keep daily activity log, handle night/weekend move-ins – copying IDs; accepting payment via CC authorization form; taking Security Deposits via credit card authorization from or check and writing receipts.

Apartment Assisants

The function of an Apartment Assistant is to facilitate interaction and communication among residents and the Graduate and Family Housing staff and to promote a sense of community among Graduate and Family Housing residents. We strive to develop and sustain a sensitive, tolerant, and humane community, which allows as much personalized flexibility for individual styles of living as possible. 

An Apartment Assistant plays a significant role in making this happen. This position description and agreement serves as an overview of the Residence Life expectations of the RA position with additional community-specific expectations provided by the RA’s supervisor.

  • Remuneration: Apartment Assistants are compensated in the form of a rent credit for a two-bedroom unfurnished apartment for each month of appointment.

Garden Coordinator Position

This is an entry level, part-time Graduate Assistant position.  This will be a year-round 12-month position.  This position will manage established programs in the Graduate & Family Housing area as they relate to the community garden and the CSA programs in order to provide ever expanding engagement opportunities for the GFH residents. 

  • Payrate: $16

Existing Program Management

Fills and Oversees 3 volunteer Garden Liaison Positions, whose roles are to focus on community, development, programming and coordinating maintenance of their three garden areas.

The EcoReps program is a peer education program for freshmen that provides the skills and knowledge needed to promote environmentally responsible behavior in the residence halls. EcoReps move onto campus a few days early to participate in a leadership retreat that will prepare them to jump into their role as the Leader for sustainability programming in their building. There are between 30-35 EcoReps, with 3 Upperclassmen EcoRep Coordinators to facilitate trainings and help manage the program.

  • Payrate: $16.00

Summer CUCS Positions

Residential Services Manager (RSM)

Live-In position. This Residential Services Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day housing operations of the Residence Halls. This paraprofessional job will have varied work responsibilities depending on placement and will be scheduled to work 40(+) hours a week. This is a full-time, live in, salaried, temporary job during the summer months only.

  • Remuneration: This Residential Services Manager position is a salaried position earning Room & Board plus a $250/week stipend. Hours will flex from week to week based on needs.

Residential Services Assistant (RSA)

This Residential Services Assistant positon is responsible for day-to-day support of the summer conference operations occurring within the residence halls. This position will work directly with the Residential Services Manager position to ensure all aspects for each conference are ready for the anticipated arrival. This job is involved in working with guest relations and must deliver a high-level of customer service. The successful candidates will have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. The position starts in late May with training and ends in early August.
