Founded in 1987 with the goal of providing a shared living environment for students studying a wide range of fields related to engineering or the applied sciences. The Engineering Living and Learning Community is a supportive group of engineering students with access to unique amenities such as a computer lab with engineering applications, tutoring for engineering classes and special programs in collaboration with the Idea Forge, an optional summer experience and unique opportunities throughout the fall semester. The Engineering LLC is managed by the College of Engineering & Applied Science.
The Engineering Quad LLC also includes the Engineering GoldShirt Scholars, who live specifically in Aden Hall along with other Engineering LLC students. GoldShirt Scholars are part an inclusive community and support system of students, mentors, staff and faculty in the College of Engineering & Applied Science, who support GoldShirt Scholars by building community, connecting scholars with academic and holistic support, and providing to resources.
