Stampede Leadership Camp is a multi-day, time intensive experience designed to help students build connections quickly, and to fast-track involvement on campus. Full participation in each days activities are required, and students are encouraged to request time off from any places of employment between Sunday, Aug. 14 - Wednesday, Aug. 17. 

Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors are returning students who are passionate about leadership and supporting incoming students as they begin their leadership journey. Mentors will lead a small group of Stampede Leadership Campers through the Stampede Leadership Camp experience and lead small groups through community building and social change conversations. 

The deadline for applications is Friday, July 22, 2022 at 8 a.m. MT. 

Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors will be notified of their status by Friday, July 22, 2022 and will need to accept their offer by Wednesday, July 2h, 2022 at 12 p.m.  

Note: First-year students interested in applying to be a Stampede Leadership Camp participant should not use this application for entrance into the program. This application is for returning students only.

Requirements for Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors

  1. Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors must be able to attend Mentor training held virtually on Aug. 4 (tentative date).
  2. Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors must be able to attend and fully participate in all four days of the camp held in person. This time commitment is approximately 20 hours across the four days (Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022 - Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022)

Note: Resident Advisors (RAs) cannot be Stampede Leadership Campers due to the conflict between their activity and training schedules.

Benefits for Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors

  1. Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors will be asked to attend meals with their campers, and meals will be provided for mentors.
  2. Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors will receive a Stampede Leadership Camp Mentor shirt and a $50 gift card for the campus bookstore.
  3. Stampede Leadership Camp Mentors will have an opportunity to promote their student organization program or department of employment on campus, and can serve as a great recruitment platform for highly motivated first year students.

Application Questions
