How do I sign up for tutoring?

We use an app called Penji to do all our tutor sign ups. Download the app and log in with your identikey email to get started.

When do I start?

Once you download the app and request a session with your tutor, he or she will confirm and let you know your start date. Please allow up to 48 hours for a reply to your request.

Where do I meet my tutor?

We currently use 5 locations in residence halls around campus (Will Vill included). When you request a session, a location may already be given or you may be able to select your preferred location.

How often do I meet for tutoring?

ASAP tutoring sessions recur weekly. If you are not able to make it one week, make sure to communicate with your tutor-mentor.

What if I cannot make a session?

As long as you notify your tutor-mentor 24 hours in advance, no problem. Currently, three (3) missed or skipped tutoring sessions will result in you being dropped from the program.

Will my tutor do my homework?

ASAP tutors are here to help you understand concepts which may show up on your homework, but we are not going to do the work for you. You should use your homework as a way to test yourself, then ask your tutor any questions you may have about completing it.

What if I have other questions about the program?

Send any questions you may have to asap@colorado.edu

Who can get tutoring?

Because we are funded through the housing department, currently we can only offer tutoring to students who live on campus or who are first year students. If you live off campus, you can still reach out and we can try to help you find assistance.
