Fall break information for on-campus residents

Fall break is from Nov. 23-27! Whether you’re staying on campus or traveling during break, here are some tips and reminders.

  Reminders

If you are going to be away from campus during fall break:

  • Lock your doors and windows. Close window blinds.
  • Unplug lights, computers and appliances (except refrigerators) for safety and to conserve energy. 
  • Remove any perishable food items from refrigerators or pantry/storage. 
  • Take valuables (like jewelry) and any essentials (medication, passports, etc.) with you.
  • Secure your vehicles and bicycles in your approved parking area.
  • Set your heater to the lowest degree (65), where possible, and follow our Tips for Heating in Residence Halls. 
  • Remove any garbage from your room before you leave.  All personal trash must be disposed of properly in CU Boulder dumpsters and recycling containers. 

If you are going to stay on campus during fall break:

  • Do not prop doors open. 
  • Report any concerning behavior, activity, or safety concerns to an Resident Support Leader, the Community Center Front Desk, or CUPD at 303-492-6666. 
  • Always keep your doors and windows locked.
  • Keep bicycles and vehicles secure. 

  Campus dining options 

Regular dining hours will end on Friday, Nov. 20.

The WeatherTech Cafe will be open for limited hours from Monday, Nov. 23 through Wednesday, Nov. 25. All locations will be closed Nov. 26-27.

C4C Dining, Sewall Dining and the Village Center will reopen Sunday, Nov. 29. All other dining locations will reopen Monday, Nov. 30.

  Buff Bus operations 

Regular Buff Bus operations end on Friday, Nov. 20. There will be no Buff Bus or Buff Ride service between Saturday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 28. On Sunday, Nov. 29, weekend Will Vill service will be from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Regular service resumes Monday, Nov. 30.

   UPS Store hours 

  • Monday, Nov. 23-Wednesday, Nov. 25: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 
  • Thursday, Nov. 26: Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 27: Closed
  • Saturday, Nov. 28: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 29: Closed

  Community Centers

Residential Support Leaders will be on rotation and available to provide support throughout fall break. Starting on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026, the Community Centers will operate on reduced hours from 8 a.m.-10 p.m., except on Nov. 26, when they will be open from 4-8 p.m. All Community Centers will reopen on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2026. 

The following Community Centers will be open over fall break:  

  • Williams Village: Will Vill North and Weber 
  • Kittredge Neighborhood: Kitt Central   
  • Central Campus: Code Talker, Sewall, and Hallett 

  Quiet hours 

Quiet hours remain the same for the break period. Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and end at 8 a.m. the following morning. Friday and Saturday, they begin at midnight and continue until 8 a.m. the following morning.

  Lobby doors 

All residence halls will be locked, and residents will need to use their Buff OneCard to enter their building.
