Since joining the lab, I have been working on a project to quantify the plumage morphology of black-capped and mountain chickadees. To complete this project, I have learned how to wire ballasts, dissemble a camera to extract a UV sensor and build nest boxes. This wide array of skills provided insight into the scientific process and were necessary to tease apart and overcome bumps in my research progress.
Katherine is currently a Microarray Associate Scientist with InDevR, Inc. and is applying to PhD programs for Fall 2022.
