As an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina working under Dr. Nathan Senner, Sara studied the migratory behaviors of the rufa Red Knot in Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, South Carolina. Now as a graduate student in the Taylor lab she is interested in studying the genetic basis of learning and memory in food-caching chickadees.
