Last week, the lab road tripped out to Tucson, Arizona for the 2018 meeting of the American Ornithological Society.

As part of being recognized as the 2018 recipient of the Ned K. Johnson Young Investigator Award, Scott gave a plenary talk titled, "A bird’s eye view of the origin and maintenance of biodiversity.” This award “recognizes work by an ornithologist early in his or her career who shows distinct promise for future leadership in the profession.”
