Galápagos brown pelican population genetics - in press
Along with collaborators at Queen's University, Wake Forest University, and the Charles Darwin Foundation we just published an article in Conservation Genetics that examines the genetic distinctness of the Galápagos brown pelican population. Based on a modest population genetic dataset, the Galápagos brown pelican is genetically distinct and isolated from two of the continental subspecies of the brown pelican. Future work will clarify population differentiation between Galápagos brown pelicans and the other two subspecies.
