Scott will be heading to Italy in February as an invited speaker in the 'Introgression and hybrid speciation, in memory of Richard Harrison' session of the 2017 Gordon Research Conference SPECIATION, the world's largest conference on 
speciation research. Rick's sudden passing in April shocked the evolutionary biology community. The memorial included here, and published in a special issue of Molecular Ecology, resonates strongly with those of us who were fortunate enough to interact with him, learn from him, and call him our friend.
