Yunyang YePhD student Yunyang Ye has won the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) graduate school Grant-In-Aid. This award will help fund his research in large scale modeling and simulation for building energy efficiency.

“ASHRAE Graduate Grant-In-Aid is an immense honor for me,” Yunyang said. “This grant inspires me to continue researching on the building performance programs, which are devoted to reducing energy consumption, improving human health, and supporting solving the environmental problems.”

ASHRAE advocates for the sciences of heating, ventilating and refrigeration and their ability to improve the lives of people worldwide. Their award recognizes Yunyang’s contributions to these fields.

Yunyang is advised by Associate Professor Wangda Zuo, whose research focuses on building systems and indoor environments. Yunyang will continue to research building systems next fall.
