Fall 2018: Kasprzyk Research Group publications

Our group has recently released several new publications.

Rebecca Smith expanded on her ParFAIT framework for assessing and improving tools in water resources research, with a new publication "Experimenting with Water Supply Planning Objectives Using the Eldorado Utility Planning Model Multireservoir Testbed", in the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management. The study was co-authored by Leon Basdekas and Joseph Kasprzyk.

Also in the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management was the work led by former MS student Tim Clarkin, who with Billy Raseman, Joseph Kasprzyk, and Jon Herman published "Diagnostic Assessment of Preference Constraints for Simulation Optimization in Water Resources".

We also collaborated on an optimization study for cooperative management of the Nile River, in Water Resources Research. The study included authors Kevin Wheeler, Jim Hall, Gamal Abdo, Simon Dadson, Joseph KasprzykRebecca Smith, and Edith Zagona.

Joseph Kasprzyk led an editorial on defining the role of water resources systems analysis in a changing future, co-authored with Rebecca Smith, Ashlynn Stillwell, Kaveh Madani, David Ford, Daene McKinney, and Soroosh Sorooshian in the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management.

Former group member Amy Piscopo, and Joseph Kasprzyk contributed to "Embedding co-production and addressing uncertainty in watershed modeling decision support tools: Successes and challenges" published in Environmental Modelling and Software. This review paper had several co authors and was led by Bradley Barnhart.
