Preprint of paper using deep learning and snowpack information in ensemble streamflow prediction

You can now find a preprint of our NOAA-funded work on using deep learning and snowpack information in an ensemble streamflow prediction model on the ESS Open Archive!

The paper's lead author was PhD student Parthkumar Modi, and co-authors are Keith Jennings, Joseph Kasprzyk, Eric Small, Cam Wobus, and Ben Livneh.

The paper assesses whether the Long Short-Term Memory model can provide skillful forecasts when used in an ensemble streamflow prediction mode, with multiple model types including explicit snowpack information to improve the hydrologic memory representation.
