Congratulations Dr. Amy Piscopo

Congratulations to Dr. Amy Piscopo, who successfully defended her PhD and graduated in Fall 2015. Starting in February, she will be a post-doctoral fellow with the Office of Research and Development at the Environmental Protection Agency.
Amy’s dissertation research, co-advised with Prof. Roseanna Neupauer, advanced an active spreading approach for remediating contaminated groundwater and contributed a framework for using MOEAs to better understand engineering design problems and contaminant remediation (see a recent paper here).
At the EPA, she will be at the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Lab in Rhode Island. Her project is titled “Multi-Objective Optimization to Minimize Costs, Achieve Target Flows and Water Quality, and Maximize Co-Benefits of Green Infrastructure Best Management Practices". It should be an exciting extension of the excellent work she did at CU.
Before her job begins, she will be doing a project with a professional chapter of Engineers Without Borders in Boulder. Joe will also be presenting her work at AGU 2015 on Friday at 9:15 am in Moscone West 3016.
Congratulations to Amy on all of her accomplishments!
