Hariharan’s research centers on understanding electrochemical interfaces, with a focus on how the structure and dynamics of the electrical double layer (EDL) at electrocatalyst surfaces impact electron transfer and mass transport. Outside the lab, he unwinds by getting lost in zig-zag puzzles and getting experimental in the kitchen with South Indian cooking—sometimes with delicious results, sometimes with smoke.
