Maruf attended the Annual Meeting of the North American Membrane Society in Las Vegas. He presented his recent study on "Probing the evolution of glass transition temperature of the barrier layer on reverse osmosis membrane upon chlorine induced degradation. The evolution of Tg of the polyamide during membrane degradation resulting from chlorine exposure were systematically characterized with AFM-based thermal analysis technique (Nano-TA) and compared with the performance and chemical changes.
