Get Seed Funding Provides Financial Backing to Help Jumpstart Student Innovations

Get Seed Funding is a micro-funding opportunity for CU Boulder undergraduate and graduate students that provides up to $500 in funding for entrepreneurial ideas in the making. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed by the Boulder Venture Club, a CU Boulder student group.
Thus far, $4,244 has been provided to aspiring entrepreneurs and ventures. Below is a list of the most recent student innovations allocated funding:
SkillSift ($400) – Streamlining the technical hiring process for software engineers
MaPlace ($100) – Simplifying the student housing search by connecting college students, with verified landlords through a secure, transparent and user-friendly platform
Dynamic Shoe LLC ($150) – Developing a customizable smart shoe
Adin Makes Clothes ($200) – Exploring the intersection of engineering and fashion design
Joe’s Odd Jobs ($100) – Connecting students with members of a community through odd jobs
GameSeven ($100) – Connecting CU Boulder Rec Center members by skill level, sport interest and availability
Arterial ($500) – Streamlining and automating the process of road disconformity detection
HarmoniQ ($350) – A chatbot for simplifying the process of music production
Gravy ($150) – Helping restaurants drive increased traffic dynamically
Mini-mate ($150) – Reducing anxiety/stress via a handheld device that uses machine learning to help identify triggers
Okyo ($100) – Clothing brand that helps people break free from screens to fully experience life
RoofRack ($100) – Device that facilitates lifting and positioning heavy items for safe and efficient vehicle roof loading
SphereSix ($300) – Simplifying the carbon credit market for small farms with an easy-to-use platform calculating potential profits from carbon sequestration
Surge Social ($150) – Helping personal brands tell their stories with social media content
Grass Guard ($200) – A smart irrigation sprinkler head with a custom spray pattern and leak detection
