Congratulations to Karen Hawley for Two Awards from the College of Arts and Sciences!

Congratulations to Karen Hawley, GSLL Program Assistant, for winning two awards!

The first, the Monthly Staff Recognition Award, recognizes outstanding performance and contributions to the College. Karen was nominated by a group of GSLL faculty members and students for the Recognition Award.

The second recognition came in the form of an award from ASCEND, the Arts and Sciences Consortium of Committees on Climate, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. As part of the Be Seen Initiative and the planning committee for the first-ever staff summit in the College of Arts and Sciences, Karen Hawley was recognized, along with five other staff colleagues. The College of Arts and Sciences Magazine praised the committee’s work for “providing and supporting opportunities for greater learning, which increase job satisfaction, bolster staff retention, enhance productivity, and promote collaborative and sustainable working environments for all employees in the College of Arts and Sciences.” Read the full story here.
