Arvind is an International fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering from Bengaluru, India. He works on facilitating the co-existence of active (e.g., mobile phones, RADAR) and passive users (e.g., weather satellites, astronomy) of the electromagnetic spectrum by building instrumentation that detects and locates the sources of electromagnetic interference. His specific (very cool) remit is to help protect the Allen Telescope Array in California (the HQ of the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence!). Arvind is an active member of the BFA, Parking Oversight Committee, and National Association for Graduate and Professional Students.
