Graduate and professional students from across campus regularly gather to progress initiatives that better life for all at CU. College- and School-level Senators and officers work together to prioritize GPSG's efforts, implement new projects, and oversee the budget.
Meetings are open to the public and are a great forum to share your voice and foster change.
GPSG Assembly meetings follow basic parliamentary procedures, which can be confusing if you've never seen them. Click here for a quick primer.
Meeting agendas and details will be announced 48 hours before and posted on the University events calendar.
If you have further questions about Assembly meetings, contact the Assembly Speaker at email@example.com.
Assembly Senators are required to serve on at least one committee that generally furthers the Assembly and GPSG's work. Committees are responsible for considering projects related to their respective purpose brought forth by any member of the Assembly, Executive Team, or member of the public. Each committee is responsible for drafting and presenting bills and resolutions related to their respective purpose.
Committee meetings are held separately from the central Assembly meetings and are open to the public.
Awards and Grants Committee (AGC)
Responsible for regularly reviewing GPSG award and grant bylaws, policies, and grading rubrics and managing award applications and grading. The committee is not solely responsible for grading all applications. All Assembly members, Executives, and Officers contribute to grading.
Equity and Advocacy Committee (EAC)
Represents the interests of graduate students and shall be responsible for advocating their behalf on issues about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Rules and Finance Committee (RFC)
Conducts an annual review and update of the GPSG Constitution and Bylaws, which includes a review of GPSG's representation and Executive Team structures. Responsible for reviewing GPSG expenditures, advising on creating and proposing an annual budget and recommendations to increase the GPSG fee.
