Looking for office furniture, equipment, supplies, or other department resources? Before purchasing new, take a moment to browse CU Internal Reuse in ReCoup.

Available to CU employees across all four campuses, CU Internal Reuse helps departments source usable items before they are sold to the general public. It's an easy way to save money, reduce waste, and give university resources a second life.

Have items your department no longer needs? Consider surplusing them so they can be listed in CU Internal Reuse, so another department can put them to good use.

CU Internal Reuse at a Glance

  • What is CU Internal Reuse? It’s a CU-only marketplace that gives eligible university users priority access to select surplus furniture, equipment, office supplies and other items before they become available to the public.
  • Who can access it? Users with a University of Colorado email address, including CU Boulder, CU Denver, CU Anschutz and UCCS.
  • What will you find? Inventory may include furniture, lab equipment, small appliances, electronics, office supplies and other useful university property.
  • How long are items available? Items are generally posted in Internal Reuse for about two weeks before moving to the public storefront. Items are first come, first served unless a hold has been placed.
  • CU Internal Reuse is for department purchases only. If you’re interested in purchasing an item for personal use, you’ll need to wait until it becomes available through the CU Boulder Surplus Store.
  • Keep checking back: CU Internal Reuse includes only a portion of available surplus inventory, so the CU Boulder Surplus Store will continue to be the place to browse the full inventory in person.
